REQUESTS AND PRAISE REPORTS
GIVEN FOR WEEK OF January
11-17,
2008
The lapse in the postings here have been
due to some "serious" computer problems on my part.
I thought I was having internet connection problems, but
it turned out that I had an extremely serious trojan
virus infection on my computer. It has taken this
long to get things to where I can use this computer on
the Internet without it filling it back up with trojans
again. This has been a stressful time for me and I
ask you to please forgive my lapse, but I have been 95%
out of communication (internet-wise) with everyone
during this time.

Hi All,
please pray for traveling mercies for Jamey, and family.
They will be traveling here today. Jamey and Chris will
be leaving for a few days alone, after a year apart. We
are keeping the kids. Please pray for us that we will be
able to meet their needs. God Bless, Dee Hughes
On Mrs.
Potter: Joanna talked with the hospital today to
get all the info we could to take care of Ms Potter.
They were a wonderful help giving us great feed back.
They are going to keep her a couple more days to give
her complete evaluation to see what her needs are. They
will then have everything ready for what ever is next,
rest home or home care or hospice. We will do what ever
it takes to see all her needs are meet. Please pray for
wisdom. So many have been so wonderful to take care of a
lady that has taken care of so many all her life, I am
reminded of something I heard years ago "We have not
been teaching Ms. Potter she has been teaching us". I
can truelly say I have learned a lot. Jerry Bailey

Roger,
Ashley Coogle is having a surgery Thursday Morning on a
place that has appeared on her leg. Please have everyone
to remember her in prayer. Thanks, Arnold
Update on my
friend Jacquie. Although Jacquie has been in ICU for the
last several days and things were looking very bleak,
she is greatly improved! I thank those who joined me in
prayer. She needs all the prayers she can get. Jacquie's
recovery will be ongoing for quite some time, perhaps
months. The cancer is of no immediate concern at this
time, it is all the other issues going on with losing so
much blood and having an unclosed surgery wound.
She knows you are a praying people. Please continue.
Thank you. Judy Orick
Mrs. Potter
had another good day she is eating solid food, and
improving two days in a row. We are waiting on the
biopsy to come back so we can really know what all we
are dealing with. They siad they might even let her come
home tomorrow. We will wait and see, we are preparing
for what ever comes. Joanna was their today and she said
she looked good and even was messing with the nurses a
little bit. We are so thankful for what the Lord is
doing with Mrs. Potter, she is in the Lord hands. We
will keep you posted. JB
Hi All,
Jamey got home for the wk. end. and it is wonderful to
see him. Please pray for traveling mercies for him and
the girls. They will be traveling back to Ft. Campbell
today. I Thank God for keeping his hand on him and his
family. Thank all of you who have kept him in your
prayers.
God Bless, Dee Hughes
We talk to the doctors this morning and Ms Potter is
doing okay, she is running a little fever they are
trying to control that, her blood pressure is a great
concern right now it is real low so they can't give much
pain medicine. So they are doing a balance act on the
pain medicine. I want to thank all that are praying for
her. It was amazing how the Lord was watching over her,
when she needed something it was their. That was because
God's people was praying and helping. She is still a
very sick lady, please continue to pray. She is in good
spirit's and alert. I can tell you this it amazes me how
much Ms. Potter loves Immanuel Baptist Church and each
member of the church. She has been telling Joanna and I
such wonderful stories about each of you. We will update
as much as possible. The phone to her room might be
turned off, but you can reach Joanna or I at the
following numbers for updates: Home 574-0302 and Jerry's
cell 273-0801. Thank You.
Mrs. Potter
is on 4 north in room 409 at U.K. hospital now. She had
them
turn the phone off before they left because no one is
with her and she
didn't want to fool with it. Jackie
Jess was
seen by the radiologist, Dr. Rosenstein in London
yesterday and after viewing the cd's of the PET scan and
chest x-rays, he thinks there may be a possibility of
surgical removal of the tumor, but says he is no surgeon
and will have to defer to Dr. Sadu, the surgeon from UK
with whom Jess has an appointment on the 14th. We will
be taking the results from the PET scan/MRI scheduled
for Monday the 12th to Dr. Sadu and will know more about
what treatment he is to have. He has an appointment on
the 16th with Dr. Nakhoul and another with Dr.
Rosenstein on the 19th. Jess is already exhausted from
so many appointments and tests, and I am not sure how he
is going to deal with all these additional ones. Please
continue to keep him in your prayers, that the doctors
will make the right decisions for the best treatment and
that Jess will make the right decisions in his
treatment.
Roger,
I talked with Joanna Bailey about 8:30 tonight and she
said they took Mrs. Potter into surgery at 8 pm. The
tubes they are putting in will be coming out of her
'back' from her kidneys. They did ask her about taking
out her bladder if they needed to and she told them no
that she was ready to go home with her Lord and she
didn't want anything else done. They are in E.R. ACUTE
CARE ROOM 206 859-323-5000. UNLESS they have another
room available on the floor after surgery.
Also, please pray for my cousins baby. He is only a few
months old and is in the hospital with diarrhea and
vomiting and it is "white". They are trying to determine
what is causing it to be white.
Thank you, Jackie Hampton Lois
